If ever we found a place with a view, it certainly is the Hütteneckalm! After a 90 min walk with a breathtaking view we arrived at the restaurant around lunch and enjoyed a lovely Austrian meal "Bierkaasnockerl". Worth a visit, with having lunch, and if you have some energy left after the walk (we did) you can drive into Hallstatt in about 20min. Some pictures are of the way to the place, be sure to use good mountain shoes!

Wonderful location, with a good range of food from light snacks to full meals. The terrace, shaded by chestnut trees, has terrific views to the Dachstein glacier.
